A Week Away

Hey everyone!

Whew...this week has been absolutely crazy.  If you didn't know, I have been in Cleveland, Ohio this past week for some software training for work.  I left bright and early on a Sunday morning.  The airport was a lot busier then I thought it was going to be, but luckily it only took 15 minutes to get through security.  I did have a bit of a scare going through security though, because when I got to the other side of the body scanner to collect my things again, my ID was not in the bin that I put it in.  I immediately panicked and thought that someone must have taken it.  I flagged down one TSA officers and told him that I couldn't find it, and he helped look through the other bins.  Finally he went to the scanner and came back with my ID in hand (!!!!!), and said that it had "somehow fallen out of the bin"?  I have no idea how that could have happened, but I was just glad that he had found it.  So that wasn't a very great start to my trip.  Afterwards, I went to a bakery and ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee.  Both were delicious.  The plane ride wasn't that bad either - only a little turbulence going through the clouds but once we got over them, it was smooth sailing.  It was a relatively short flight from MSP to CLE (about 1 1/2 hours I think).  The hotel shuttle picked me up from the airport and I checked in and I think I took a shower, ordered food, laid in bed, and chilled the rest of the night.  My training for the week was 9-4:30, with an hour lunch that they paid for (which was definitely a plus!)  A couple of nights after training we did some fun things like going to the Cheesecake Factory and Sibling Revelery Brewery.  What I quickly discovered is that Cleveland is a foodie's dream place.  There are so many different places to eat.  I tried Indian food for the first time which I was pretty impressed.  I have become obsessed with the garlic naan (bread) - it was so delicious and definitely my favorite.
At the end of the week, we had to take an "assessment" of the training we had just done - which was basically a 33 question timed exam.  I was stressing about it alllllllll week.  But found out everyone in the class passed! WOOOOOO!  I also got the only 100% grade which I was very surprised because I guessed on a couple of them, but I mean, I'm not complaining ;)  Then this morning I packed up my stuff, and checked out of the hotel and shuttled to the airport where I am currently writing this blog post from the corner of a quiet cafe with a tall class of coffee.  How cozy!  Sorry for this word-vomit of post, but I like talking (or writing) so I guess you'll have to deal with it this week.  It's been a fun week away, but I'm ready to come back home. :)

What have you done this week?
