Well, August is gone and past...
where has the time gone??

Here are some things I discovered and became obsessed with in August:

1. Chia seeds

I had heard so much talk about this magical seed and decided to try it, mainly for it's nutritional   benefits.  Now I heard that these seeds make you seem full, and as a result eat less; I actually found this to be true, as I put a spoonful into my yogurt and granola and I find that later in the day I'm not as hungry.  Pretty neat, right? As they don't really have a flavor, you can put them in pretty much anything from muffins and yogurt to smoothies and salads.
         FUN FACT: These chia seeds are more widely known as being the seeds for Chia Pets!
2. Angie's Boom Chicka Pop Salted Caramel Popcorn

YUM. YUM. YUM.  At only 80 calories/cup of popcorn, this stuff will make you so happy.  Tastes amazing without the added guilt of eating too many calories.  I would also highly recommend that you check out the other varieties of Angie's Boom Chicka Pop because they are equally delicious.

3. Parks and Recreation TV show

I had heard about this before from family and friends, and had seen a lot of pictures/gifs of it on the internet, so when I saw it on Netflix I just had to.  It has that quirky sense of humor similar to shows like The Office but I find it very charming and the characters are very loveable.
